Zambelli Fireworks⬝FX is one of the largest and most respected fireworks companies in the world, with a legacy dating back to 1893. Each year, we produce over 1,600 fireworks and pyrotechnic displays across the United States and internationally. Located in Cranberry Township with locations throughout the country, we are looking for a dynamic HR Director, with proven success of aligning strategic HR initiatives with organizational goals. Primary function of the Human Resource Director is to coordinate HR policies and programs with emphasis on employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, training, and worker's compensation areas, ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the position develops, implements and evaluates new and ongoing HR and organizational programs. This role is an onsite role and requires attendance at the corporate headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as coach and mentor to all employees in the HR department.
- Develops and manages a performance evaluation process for all employees and 1099 technical support. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Responsible for management of company assets provided to both employees and 1099 technical support.
- Owns and actively manages the company handbook.
- Responsible for the daily administration of HR services including recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization.
- Plan, direct and supervise all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefits programs. Develop, implement and control programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees.
- Administer benefits programs, including conducting analyses and serving as primary contact with providers (including group health and life), workers' compensation, unemployment and retirement plans.
- Develop, prepare, generate and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.
Effectively utilize the data processing system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
- Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management, employees and retirees accordingly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the President of the company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Seven to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) current certification preferred.
- Prior payroll and benefits management experience.
- Prior organizational design and implementation experience.
