Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position will support a broad range of HR functions across a multi-state workforce. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to balance day-to-day HR administration with strategic initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to play an integral role in supporting employees and the organization. Responsibilities Manage human resources functions across multiple states, including recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee orientation, and performance evaluation processes. Administer weekly, multi-state payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing. Coordinate and manage domestic and international business travel arrangements for employees. Administer the Company's 401(k) retirement plan, including enrolling newly eligible employees and assisting with ongoing plan administration. Monitor and support compliance with applicable federal and state employment and labor laws, OSHA requirements, CFRA, leave laws, and other employment-related regulations. Facilitate performance management programs, employee training and development, and employee relations initiatives. Support a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and assisting with conflict resolution. Maintain accurate employee records and HR data while preparing reports and conducting data analysis using Excel. Handle sensitive and confidential employee and company information with a high degree of discretion and integrity. Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience , including experience in HR administration, recruiting, employee relations, and benefits administration. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the construction industry . Strong working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment and labor laws, HR compliance requirements, OSHA regulations, and state and federal leave laws. Demonstrated knowledge and experience administering 401(k) retirement plans . Previous experience coordinating business travel is highly desirable. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of an organization. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel , including data analysis and reporting. Experience with HRIS, payroll, and recruiting platforms. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and employees.
