Position Summar y Suwannee Medical Personnel is seeking an organized, dependable, and service-oriented Part-Time Staffing Coordinator to support the daily operations of our healthcare staffing agency. This position assists with recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and communication with healthcare professionals and client facilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating professionally, and responding quickly to changing staffing needs in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and Onboarding Source, contact, and screen qualified healthcare professionals, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and allied health professionals. Assist candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process. Ensure required employment documents, credentials, background checks, and health records are completed. Maintain accurate and organized personnel files. Compliance and Credentialing Monitor employee licenses, certifications, health records, and other credential expiration dates. Contact healthcare professionals regarding required renewals or missing documentation. Confirm that employees meet agency, state, and client-facility requirements before being scheduled. Assist with routine personnel-file audits to ensure accuracy and completeness. Scheduling and Staffing Coordination Communicate with client facilities regarding open shifts and staffing needs. Contact qualified healthcare professionals to determine availability and fill open assignments. Coordinate schedules based on employee availability, facility requirements, and agency procedures. Assist with call-offs, schedule changes, and last-minute replacements to maintain appropriate coverage. Provide employees with accurate assignment details, reporting instructions, and facility expectations. Communication and Relationship Management Serve as a point of contact for healthcare professionals and client facilities regarding schedules, assignments, and staffing updates. Respond promptly and professionally to questions, concerns, and scheduling requests. Build positive working relationships with employees, clients, and internal team members. Support employee and client satisfaction through dependable follow-up and clear communication. Administrative Support Enter and update employee, client, and scheduling information in agency software systems. Review attendance records and shift documentation for accuracy. Assist with payroll verification by confirming that time and attendance records are complete. Prepare staffing reports and assist management with audits and other operational responsibilities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, recruiting, customer service, or healthcare administration strongly preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling or staffing software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing staffing needs. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and client information appropriately. Preferred Skills Knowledge of healthcare licensing, credentialing, and compliance requirements. Experience staffing hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, or other healthcare environments. Experience recruiting and scheduling nurses, nursing assistants, or allied health professionals. Availability to participate in an on-call rotation after completing training.
Position Details Position Type:
Part-Time 20-25 hours/week
Regular Office Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The employee's specific part-time schedule will be established based on operational needs. Participation in the on-call rotation will be required after training is completed. Some flexibility may be required to respond to urgent staffing needs.
