full-time Position Summary The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for guiding healthcare and education professionals through the onboarding process and ensuring all required licenses, certifications, health screenings, drug screenings, background clearances, and client-specific requirements are completed before an assignment begins. This role combines candidate onboarding, credentialing, compliance, and client requirements , requiring strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple processes and deadlines simultaneously. The Onboarding Specialist works closely with internal teams, professionals, and client facilities to ensure each individual is fully cleared and ready to begin their assignment. Key Responsibilities Manage the onboarding process for healthcare and education professionals from initial requirements through assignment clearance. Verify professional licenses, certifications, health requirements, drug screenings, background checks, and other required documentation. Coordinate with client facilities to identify and complete facility-specific onboarding and compliance requirements. Monitor outstanding requirements and proactively follow up to keep onboarding timelines on track. Research and stay informed on applicable state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across multiple databases and systems. Review individualized criminal history reports and make determinations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accrediting requirements. Communicate professionally with candidates, clients, and internal teams regarding onboarding requirements, status, and next steps. Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and work to resolve issues quickly. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications College degree or equivalent experience preferred. Previous experience in onboarding, credentialing, compliance, healthcare, education, staffing, or a related field preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Comfortable working across multiple systems, databases, and screens. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
