The Labor and Employee Relations Coordinator reports to the Employee and Labor Relations Manager and provides administrative and operational support for the College's labor and employee relations functions. This role assists with the coordination and maintenance of employee relations processes, labor relations activities, workplace investigations, compliance documentation, and related records to support the consistent application of college policies, collective bargaining agreements, and employment laws. The Labor and Employee Relations Coordinator will serve as a resource to all employees and support communication, scheduling, recordkeeping, correspondence, and the timely handling of workplace concerns while helping to maintain a positive, respectful and productive work environment. Provides guidance and educate employees on general HR policies, procedures. Assists in the intake and documentation of employee relations concerns and workplace issues. Disseminate and review Exit Interview Questionnaire to employees separating from the college. Assist in managing employee relations issues and conducting internal investigations as necessary. Support the performance management process by ensuring timely completion. Assist in maintaining and updating the employee handbook, policies and procedure guides. Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Represent the HR Office on appropriate teams and committees. Monitor unemployment claims and prepare initial responses for supervisory review. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. Assists with preparation of reports related to employee relations and compliance. Support the Labor and Employee Relations Manager in the investigation process by gathering information, assisting with interviews, and maintaining case documentation. Assists with administration of collective bargaining agreements, including tracking contract provisions and timelines. Ensures proper documentation and recordkeeping for employee relations and compliance activities. Coordinates logistics for employee engagement events and compliance-related training sessions. Assists in developing and distributing communications related to policies and procedures. Represent the HR Office on appropriate teams and committees Supports employee engagement initiatives and programs as directed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in human resources, employee relations, or related field. Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR practices. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Experience in higher education or public-sector environment. Experience supporting investigations or grievance processes. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or willingness to obtain.
