Job Description

Position Summary The Staffing Director is responsible for coordinating and maintaining adequate staffing levels to ensure quality resident care and compliance with federal, state, and facility staffing requirements. This position oversees scheduling, staffing records, attendance tracking, agency staffing coordination, and payroll-related functions while supporting the facility's mission and resident-centered care philosophy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Staffing and Scheduling Prepare and maintain staffing schedules for nursing departments. Ensure adequate staffing coverage for all shifts in accordance with resident needs and regulatory requirements. Coordinate replacement staffing for call-ins, absences, vacations, and leaves of absence. Maintain daily staffing sheets and staffing reports. Monitor overtime and staffing costs and communicate concerns to management. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with Kentucky staffing regulations and CMS requirements. Maintain accurate staffing records for survey and audit purposes. Assist with payroll preparation and verification of employee hours. Maintain documentation related to staffing levels and employee attendance. Employee Support Communicate schedules and staffing changes to employees. Assist with onboarding new employees regarding scheduling procedures. Coordinate agency staffing when approved by administration. Maintain employee contact lists and staffing communication systems. Attendance and Payroll Functions Track attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism. Prepare attendance reports for management review. Verify timecards and payroll records for accuracy. Assist supervisors with attendance management processes. Administrative Duties Maintain confidentiality of employee information. Participate in management meetings as requested. Assist with survey preparation and staffing documentation requests. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.

$17.50 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
