POSITION OVERVIEW
B4iGo is seeking experienced off-duty nurses to guide residents of retirement homes, nursing homes, and hospice centers through setting up secure digital health accounts and documenting advance healthcare directives (AHDs). This is flexible, commission-based work ideal for nurses seeking supplementary income. All work is conducted in full compliance with Louisiana state and Federal laws governing healthcare decision-making and data protection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Advance Health care Directive Facilitation Facilitate thoughtful AHD conversations ensuring residents' wishes are accurately captured Assess resident capacity for decision-making and identify incapacity situations Listen for and honor residents' authentic values and preferences (not family or facility influence) Clarify medical scenarios in accessible language without leading or bias Recognize when residents are uncertain and know when to pause or escalate Coordination with Authorized Personnel Ensure compliance with all Louisiana state and Federal laws Coordinate with designated authorized personnel (Power of Attorney, legal guardian, facility administrator) as required
PROHIBITED
Do not collect payments from residents, enter Medicare/Medicaid ID numbers, enter PII codes, or process payment transactions. These are handled exclusively by authorized facility personnel or resident/POA. Facilitate scheduling and communication with authorized personnel Account Setup & Data Entry Guide residents through B4iGo account creation adapted to their technology comfort level Ensure all information is complete, accurate, and reflects resident's true wishes Document findings and reasons for any delays or pending registrations Escalation & Documentation Identify and escalate concerns (coercion, cognitive impairment, vulnerability) to your B4iGo point of contact or to an ombudsman designated by B4iGo, and to the facility, to social workers, to chaplains, or to legal counsel as appropriate Notify the facility as relevant and as required by applicable regulations and statutes Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all sessions and decisions
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Compensation:
$30 per successful registration, payable as follows: Qualified residents: Where a resident has been qualified (e.g., has capacity), the nurse is paid 100% upon completion of the AHD registration. Prequalified residents not qualified at the meeting: Where a resident is prequalified during scheduling but is not qualified at the actual meeting (e.g., the resident lacks capacity at an initial meeting itself), 50% is paid for the first visit and the remaining 50% upon completion of the AHD registration at a subsequent meeting. In all cases, the reason for any delay or pending registration must be properly documented (e.g., pending capacity verification, awaiting authorized personnel, compliance review).
Schedule:
Flexible, part-time. No minimum commitments. Work your own hours. Weekend availability highly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications Current, active RN or LPN license in Louisiana Understanding of relevant Louisiana state and Federal laws governing: Healthcare decision-making authority (Power of Attorney, guardianship, healthcare proxy) Advance Healthcare Directives and legal validity Healthcare information privacy and data protection Vulnerable adult protections and mandatory reporting Demonstrated experience facilitating advance care planning conversations (hospice, palliative care, or long-term care preferred) Strong communication skills: listening without leading, explaining complex concepts clearly, recognizing cultural/spiritual beliefs around end-of-life care Capacity assessment skills and clinical judgment Attention to detail in documenting sensitive health information Basic technology proficiency Professional liability insurance Background check clearance Preferred Qualifications Hospice or palliative care nursing experience (1-2+ years) Prior facilitation of advance directive conversations Training in motivational interviewing or shared decision-making Experience with healthcare data privacy and compliance Familiarity with digital health platforms
REPRESENTATIONS & COMPLIANCE
By accepting an assignment, the nurse represents and agrees to the following:
Licensure and Legal Knowledge:
The nurse is licensed and in good standing to practice in the State of Louisiana and is up to date on all relevant Federal and Louisiana laws and regulations, including those governing Elder Care Resident rights, determination of resident capacity, the monitoring of payments and the execution of contracts with residents, assistance to residents with online purchases and transactions, prohibitions on accepting or processing payments, and the obligation to report abuse or mistreatment.
Letter and Spirit:
The nurse will adhere not only to the letter but also the spirit of all relevant Federal and Louisiana laws and regulations.
Spot-Check Audits:
The nurse agrees to spot-check audits by B4iGo or its designee of sessions, documentation, and compliance with prohibited activities.
Escalation and Notification:
The nurse will escalate any incident or concern to their B4iGo point of contact or to an ombudsman designated by B4iGo, will immediately notify B4iGo of any matter affecting B4iGo's AHD operations, and will notify the facility as relevant and as required by applicable regulations and statutes.
Geolocation and Geofencing:
The nurse acknowledges that B4iGo software applications make use of the nurse's geolocation through geofencing solely in connection with scheduled visits solely for compliance purposes. This information is not shared with third parties except for in the case of law enforcement.

B4iGo provides comprehensive training including: AHD facilitation best practices and advance directive conversations
Legal & Regulatory Compliance:
Louisiana healthcare decision-making laws, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, vulnerable adult protections, and prohibited activities B4iGo platform navigation and data security Scenario-based practice and role-play with feedback Ongoing case consultation and clinical support Monthly peer learning calls Resource library with conversation guides, compliance checklists, and cultural considerations
