Immediately Job Description The Human Resources Office is seeking a motivated, organized, and professional Part-Time Human Resources Intern to assist with a variety of administrative and clerical functions in a fast-paced office environment. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student or individual interested in Human Resources to gain hands-on experience and learn about the many functions of a school district Human Resources department. The intern will work closely with HR staff, gain exposure to day-to-day HR operations, and develop valuable skills in administration, customer service, records management, communication, and confidentiality. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build practical experience and explore a career in Human Resources or public administration. Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and personnel information.
  • Accurately file and organize personnel records and HR documents.
  • Perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Scan, copy, and prepare documents for electronic and paper personnel files.
  • Assist with general office organization and record maintenance.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to employees, applicants, and visitors.
  • Answer telephone calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Assist Human Resources staff with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Learn about and gain exposure to various Human Resources functions, processes, and procedures through hands-on experience and interaction with HR staff. Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Previous office experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a college program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or public administration.
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and develop new professional skills.
Compensation This is a part-time position working up to19.5 hours per week. Compensation is $18-$22 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
