Job Description

Schaendorf Custom Farming About Us We are an established, diversified agricultural operations and logistics firm running multiple distinct entities, including a high-volume custom farming/milk hauling business and a separate large-scale dairy farm. Altogether, our family of companies supports a workforce of 200+ employees, including 100+ commercial drivers alongside specialized agricultural teams. We are seeking a high-level Senior HR Generalist to serve as the operational backbone of our human resources department. This role is designed for a skilled professional operating at or just below a manager level who can lead our administrative functions, optimize our systems, and partner closely with executive leadership. What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)
Multi-Entity Payroll Architecture:
Take full ownership of our ADP platform across multiple EINs/companies. Oversee the accurate processing of bi-monthly payroll for 200+ employees, navigating complex pay structures.
Workers' Comp & Risk Auditing:
Manage precise workers' comp class code allocations between agricultural, fleet, and administrative personnel. Lead the annual workers' compensation audit process to ensure zero code misclassifications and strict premium accuracy.
Compliance & Audit Readiness:
Apply advanced knowledge of FLSA guidelines, specifically navigating the unique differences between agricultural exemptions and transportation labor laws. Maintain flawless, audit-ready physical and digital personnel files with strict data separation between entities.
Regulatory Reporting:
Own the annual federal reporting cycle. Accurately prepare and submit EEOC filings (EEO-1) and manage annual OSHA recordkeeping, including the timely completion and posting of
OSHA 300/300A

Fiduciary Support:
Oversee company-wide benefits enrollment, eligibility tracking, deductions, and escalated claims support. Partner with our plan administrator to manage annual 401(k) compliance, nondiscrimination testing, and year-end reporting.
Strategic Recruitment Funnel:
Optimize the initial applicant tracking system (ATS) funnel in ADP. Direct the screening strategy for commercial drivers (verifying Class A CDL and tanker endorsements) and coordinate workforce pipelines for farming operations. Guide a successful onboarding process.
Employee Relations:
Guide managers and staff through employee relations with care and fairness. What We're Looking For (Requirements)
Experience:
5+ years of progressive HR experience as a Senior Generalist, Lead Coordinator, or Payroll Administrator. Experience operating at a near- manager level is highly preferred. SHRM certifications a plus.
Regulatory & Reporting Knowledge:
Proven experience handling EEO-1 reporting, OSHA 300A posting, 401(k) plan compliance, and hands-on preparation for workers' compensation audits.
Multi-Entity Payroll Mastery:
Direct, expert-level experience managing complex multi-company environments within ADP (Workforce Now) or a similar enterprise platform.
Industry Background:
Proven track record in transportation, logistics, agriculture, dairy farming, or a similar industrial/blue-collar production environment preferred.
Communication Style:
A down-to-earth, approachable communication style suited for building trust with field and fleet workers, combined with the professionalism required to advise executive leadership.
Travel & Commute:

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
