Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (NWMRMC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Generalist provides support across a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, HRIS support, policy interpretation, and employee engagement. This position plays an important role in supporting employees, assisting department leaders, and helping ensure HR processes are efficient, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals. Mission-driven work supporting a community-focused healthcare organization dedicated to improving lives Professional growth opportunities through training, development, and career advancement A supportive and collaborative work environment Comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off The opportunity to help strengthen employee experience, engagement, and organizational culture Key Responsibilities Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and pre-employment processes Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, employee file maintenance, and completion of required employment documentation Provide support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, leave processes, and general employment questions Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation, coaching, corrective action processes, and workplace concern follow-up Support benefits administration, including enrollment assistance, employee communication, eligibility tracking, and coordination with benefit vendors Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system and assist with data entry, reporting, and system updates Assist with performance management processes, including introductory evaluations, annual reviews, and related tracking Support compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, HIPAA, and other applicable employment laws and regulations Assist with workers' compensation, leave of absence, and return-to-work processes as assigned Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, training sessions, and HR-related events Assist with policy updates, HR communications, audits, and regulatory readiness activities Maintain confidentiality of employee, patient, and organizational information at all times Provide administrative and project support to the Human Resources Department Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, healthcare operations, or a related field preferred. Healthcare HR experience is a plus.
