hr HR Specialist TPG HR Services USA is a national HR service provider. We're hiring an HR Specialist to serve as the day-to-day HR and payroll partner for a portfolio of client organizations — the person their managers and employees call when they need an answer. Why This Role This isn't a narrow seat. You'll own the full employee lifecycle for your accounts, assist with payroll data , keep clients compliant, and build the kind of consultative client relationships that turn into long-term partnerships. You'll report directly to company leadership and work across multiple industries and employee populations — range that's hard to get anywhere but an outsourced HR environment. The schedule is hybrid — three days a week in our Highland Park office and two days remote — with occasional onsite time at local client offices when an account calls for it. What You'll Do HR administration Act as the primary HR contact for your assigned client accounts, advising on policy, procedure, and best practice Administer the employee lifecycle end to end: onboarding, status changes, leaves of absence, benefits support, and offboarding Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data Support performance reviews, corrective action, and employee development Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics for clients and internal leadership Field employee and manager questions on policy, payroll, and workplace concerns Payroll Collect payroll data for client organizations with accuracy and discretion Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit changes before each run Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries Handle adjustments, garnishments, direct deposits, and special processing Compliance Keep clients compliant with federal, state, and local employment law, wage and hour rules, and leave regulations Support unemployment claims, employment verifications, audits, and compliance reporting Help implement and administer legally sound HR policies Client service Manage multiple accounts to service-level expectations and deadlines Participate in client meetings and presentations Track client service hours and activity for accurate billing and transparency What You Bring Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred SHRM certification is a plus Progressive HR experience Experience supporting multiple clients, locations, or employee populations — ASO, outsourced HR, consulting, or professional services background preferred Working knowledge of federal and state employment law, wage and hour rules, and payroll compliance Proficiency Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts, and the judgment to handle confidential matters with discretion The ability to juggle competing client demands without dropping anything Willingness and ability to work onsite at local client offices as needed Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Company-paid life insurance Short-term and long-term disability This description covers the general nature of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties.
