About Live-USA Inc. Live-USA Inc. is a growing hospitality, entertainment, and development company with an expanding portfolio of businesses and experiences. We are in an exciting period of growth as we take over and operate existing Hard Rock Cafe locations across multiple markets, while continuing to expand our hospitality and entertainment operations. As we grow, we are building a strong HR team to support our employees, managers, and locations. This is an opportunity to join the company during a significant period of expansion and play an important role in building and supporting our people and operations. About the Position Live-USA Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable, organized, proactive, and hands-on HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources needs of an assigned group of Hard Rock Cafe locations. This is a multi-state, multi-location HR role with responsibility for the full employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding through payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding. The HR Generalist will be expected to develop a strong understanding of the employment laws and requirements applicable to each assigned state and ensure that HR practices are administered consistently and appropriately across their locations. The position will also work closely with the VP of HR on more complex employee relations matters, compliance issues, investigations, and other matters requiring senior HR guidance or legal consultation. A significant component of the role will involve supporting the transition of existing Hard Rock Cafe locations to Live-USA/TCB operations, including employee onboarding, HRIS and payroll coordination, benefits, personnel records, compliance, and other transition-related HR activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, working directly with managers and employees, and taking ownership of HR operations across multiple locations while being part of a larger HR team. Key Responsibilities Multi-State HR Management Serve as the primary HR resource for an assigned group of Hard Rock Cafe locations. Partner directly with General Managers and location leadership on day-to-day HR matters. Work closely with the VP of HR to ensure consistent HR practices, policies, and procedures across assigned locations. Develop and maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws applicable to assigned locations. Ensure HR practices are administered in compliance with applicable employment requirements. Monitor changes in employment legislation and work with the VP of HR to implement necessary changes. Identify potential compliance or employee relations issues and escalate appropriately. Recruiting & Staffing Manage and support recruiting efforts for assigned Hard Rock Cafe locations. Partner with General Managers and department leaders to identify staffing needs. Create and post job openings and manage candidate pipelines. Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and assist management with selection decisions. Coordinate offers, pre-employment requirements, background checks, and new-hire paperwork. Support high-volume and seasonal hospitality recruiting as business needs require. Payroll & Benefits Serve as the HR point of contact for payroll matters for assigned locations. Review payroll information for accuracy and completeness. Partner with management to ensure timekeeping, attendance, overtime, tips, deductions, and other payroll-related information are accurate and submitted timely. Assist with payroll corrections and employee payroll questions. Support benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee benefit questions. Oversees and manages all employee leave including compliance, filings, tracking and administration. Coordinate with payroll, benefits brokers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues. Employee Relations Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers. Provide guidance regarding company policies, workplace concerns, attendance, performance, and employee relations matters. Assist managers with performance management, coaching, corrective action, and documentation. Conduct or assist with workplace investigations as appropriate. Document employee relations matters accurately and confidentially. Partner with the VP of HR on complex or sensitive employee relations matters. Compliance Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensure required employment notices, postings, records, and documentation are maintained. Support compliance with wage and hour, paid leave, sick leave, workers' compensation, unemployment, disability, family leave, and other applicable requirements. Assist with employment eligibility verification and required employment documentation. Assist with audits, government inquiries, insurance matters, and other compliance-related requests. Work with the VP of HR and outside counsel when necessary. Hard Rock Cafe Transitions Support the HR transition of newly acquired or assumed Hard Rock Cafe locations into Live-USA/TCB operations. Assist with employee data collection, offers, onboarding, payroll, benefits, HRIS, timekeeping, and personnel records during transitions. Coordinate transition checklists and ensure HR-related deadlines are met. Help establish HR processes and infrastructure for newly transitioned locations. Travel to locations periodically to support transitions, training, onboarding, and ongoing HR needs. HR Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate HR records and employee data. Prepare HR reports, staffing reports, turnover reports, payroll reports, and other management information. Monitor staffing levels, vacancies, turnover, and other HR metrics for assigned locations. Maintain employee files and HR documentation in accordance with company requirements and applicable law. Support HR projects, audits, and company-wide initiatives. What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience preferred. Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state operations strongly preferred. Experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, entertainment, or other high-volume operational environments is a plus. Working knowledge of federal employment laws and the ability to learn and apply state-specific employment requirements. Experience with payroll, HRIS, benefits administration, recruiting, and employee relations. Strong understanding of wage and hour requirements and general employment compliance. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned locations, and know when to escalate an issue. Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-oriented approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
