Job Description

Human Resources & Bookkeeping CoordinatorJob Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and personable Human Resources & Bookkeeping Coordinator to join our team. This position will have a primary focus on recruiting, hiring, and day-to-day human resources responsibilities , while also taking ownership of the organization's day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative financial functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, communicating with employees and candidates, managing confidential information, and staying organized while handling multiple responsibilities. This is a hands-on position that will play an important role in helping the company attract and hire employees while ensuring our HR and financial records remain accurate and up to date. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Recruiting Manage the day-to-day recruiting and hiring process from job posting through employee onboarding. Work with management to identify hiring needs and create or update job descriptions. Post open positions on appropriate job boards and recruiting platforms. Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings. Coordinate reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements. Prepare offer letters and new-hire paperwork. Manage the onboarding process for new employees, including required paperwork, policies, and training. Maintain employee information, attendance, and time-off records. Assist with employee benefits administration and serve as a point of contact for general employee questions. Help maintain company HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials. Assist management with employee-related documentation and performance processes. Help ensure required HR documentation and processes are completed accurately and consistently. Bookkeeping & Administrative Financial Responsibilities Manage the organization's day-to-day bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, recording payments, and paying bills. Process payroll accurately and on time using payroll and accounting software such as QuickBooks and ADP. Maintain accurate financial records and transaction documentation. Perform regular bank and account reconciliations. Maintain and update the general ledger. Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations. Monitor and properly categorize financial transactions and expenses. Maintain organized vendor and customer records. Prepare routine financial reports and provide information to management as needed. Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and basic financial analysis. Maintain accurate records within ERP & Quickbooks accounting software Work with management and outside accounting professionals as needed to provide financial records and documentation. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, office administration, bookkeeping, or a related field . Experience managing or coordinating the hiring and onboarding process preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting practices. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations preferred. Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. Experience with ADP or another payroll platform preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and other common business software. Ability to handle confidential employee and financial information professionally. Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, candidates, vendors, and management. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, organized, and people-oriented professional who enjoys a varied role and is comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys the people-focused side of HR and recruiting but is also comfortable working with numbers and maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the hiring process organized and moving forward while independently managing the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative financial responsibilities. This is a hands-on role in which initiative, organization, attention to detail, and reliability are highly valued .
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
