Position Summary The HR Generalist supports the facility's human resource's function, handling day-to-day employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance to ensure a positive, well-supported workplace for staff. Responsibilities Support full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, including posting openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and processing new hire paperwork. Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, policies, timekeeping, and workplace concerns. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment regulations. Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave-of-absence tracking (FMLA, workers' compensation, etc.). Support performance management processes, including tracking evaluations and assisting with employee relations issues under the guidance of the Administrator or HR Director. Help coordinate staff training, in-services, and required certifications to keep the facility survey-ready. Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts. Perform other HR duties as assigned by the Administrator or HR Director. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in HR, business, or a related field preferred. Long-term care or skilled nursing HR experience preferred. Basic understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and benefits administration. Strong organizational skills, discretion with confidential information, and a customer-service mindset.
