Job Description

NOTE:
This position is on-site 5 days a week at our Franklin, TN office.
Position Summary :
The Employee Relations Specialist (ERS) position is responsible for administering employee relations processes, leave of absence programs, accommodations, and compliance-related HR functions for designated business units. The ERS serves as a primary resource for employees and operational leaders by ensuring consistent administration of company policies, maintaining accurate records, coordinating employee support programs, and providing guidance on employment-related processes. This position partners closely with Human Resources, Operations, Benefits, Payroll, and external vendors to deliver efficient and compliant employee services.
Essential Functions:
Leave of Absence & Employee Support Administration:
50% Administer and coordinate all non-workers' compensation leave programs. Manage leave cases from request through return-to-work. Track certifications, recertifications, extensions, and return-to-work documentation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws. Maintain leave records and documentation. Coordinate ADA accommodation discussions and documentation. Track accommodation requests and implementation. Answer employee and manager questions regarding leave and accommodations I9 administration
Employee Relations Administration:
35% Serve as a secondary point of contact for employee relations concerns. Conduct intake assessments and fact gathering. Support leaders with policy interpretation and corrective action administration. Coordinate unemployment claims and related documentation. Upload corrective action forms into Workday.
Employee Engagement & Administration:
15% Stay interviews Exit interviews Metrics and reporting Engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 to 4 years of Human Resources, Employee Relations, Leave Administration, Benefits Administration, or related experience required. HRIS experience, preferably in Workday. Working knowledge FMLA, ADA, and leave administration practices. Knowledge of employment policies, documentation standards, and employee relations processes. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters. Multi-unit business experience preferred. Must successfully pass a background check.
