: Provides administrative support to the Human Resource Director on personnel matters. Performs clerical duties following established procedures in the following areas: Human Resource record maintenance, assisting with Salary, and Hourly payrolls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Helps with recruiting for open positions. Process payrolls for various company locations through Time and Pay. Onboarding of new employees. Assists to Ensure all payroll guidelines are met and compliant. Assists to Ensure all HR policy guidelines are followed Help to coordinate and assign the use of temporary employees. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions regarding time cards or payroll. Assist with Verifying I-9 documentation and maintains books current. Assist HR Director with various projects. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Director. Prepares new employee files and maintains ongoing documentation as needed. Greet Visitors at both the Human Resource lobby and main lobby and contact the person they are here to see. Issue security cards to employees and approved vendors Process employment verification and detail for loans, garnishments, child support and other deduction remittances. Assist in preparation, running and mailing of W-2s yearly. Maintain all payroll files to ensure completeness. Sort checks into specified categories for pick up, or mailing via USPS, and overnight by department supervisor/manager/director on pay day. Work with ADP on Canadian Payroll. Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
: Problem solving skills. Interpersonal skills Good oral and written communication skills Ability to adapt to changes. Dependable (acceptable attendance) - Punctuality Good planning/organizing skills. Strong computer skills in Word and Excel Attentive to detail Work well under deadline pressures. Positive and professional demeanor Ability to work as a team. Knowledge of Time and Pay, Payentry or ADP system a plus Must have prior knowledge of Payroll and or
HR PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT
Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is required to sit; stand; bend; walk; reach with arms and hands; talk; hear; use hands to finger; handle and feel objects. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to quiet and the office is in a clean environment.
