Position Summary The HR Generalist helps support the employee experience at JR Metal Works from hiring and onboarding through development, performance, and offboarding. This role works closely with our People and Performance Lead, employees, managers, and leadership to keep HR processes organized, responsive, and aligned with JRMW's culture and values. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, staying organized, and helping make the workplace better. Core Responsibilities Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities Maintain accurate employee records and HR information Assist employees and managers with HR questions, policies, benefits, and day-to-day needs Support performance reviews, employee development, recognition, and engagement initiatives Assist with employee relations, performance concerns, and documentation Coordinate leave of absence, attendance, and other employee processes Help maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and compliance requirements Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications Maintain HR systems and records, including BambooHR and other company systems Assist with training coordination, tracking, and employee development programs Support offboarding and termination processes Help collect and maintain HR metrics related to hiring, turnover, attendance, performance, and engagement Partner with managers and leadership to improve the overall employee experience Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of HR experience preferred HR degree, certification, or related education preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable handling confidential employee information Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to build trust and work effectively with employees at all levels Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment Working knowledge of employment practices, HR processes, and compliance Experience with HRIS systems preferred A positive, solutions-focused mindset What Success Looks Like Success in this role means employees and managers know where to go when they need HR support, HR processes are completed accurately and on time, and employees have a consistent experience throughout their time at JRMW.
