Human Resources Generalist Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to oversee HR functions across a group of affiliated companies that share common ownership. This role is responsible for the full range of HR activities including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and record-keeping applied consistently across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys variety and wants to build and shape the HR function from the ground up. Location & Schedule
Location:
Neenah or De Pere, Wisconsin
Work Arrangement:
Primarily in-person, with limited work-from-home flexibility
Hours:
Flexible schedule; minimum part-time, open to full-time Preferred qualifications: Experience in healthcare, with knowledge of expectations of licensures, certifications, etc.
Additional Tasks:
Credentialling and maintaining records of physicians
Required:
5 years experience Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Hiring
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: posting roles, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and extending offers
Conduct interviews and serve as the primary point of contact for candidates
Facilitate the hiring process across multiple companies, tailoring role requirements to each entity's needs
Conduct background checks and reference checks as appropriate Onboarding & Offboarding
Lead new-hire onboarding, including orientation, benefits enrollment, and completion of required documentation
Ensure a consistent and welcoming onboarding experience across all companies
Manage the offboarding and termination process, including exit interviews, final paperwork, and return of company property Employee Records & Administration
Maintain accurate, confidential employee records for all companies in accordance with legal requirements
Track PTO, attendance, and other employee status changes
Administer benefits programs and serve as the liaison between employees and benefit providers Compliance & Policy
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all jurisdictions in which the companies operate
Develop, update, and enforce employee handbooks and HR policies consistently across entities
Maintain required postings, documentation, and filings
Stay current on changes in employment law and advise leadership on compliance matters Employee Relations & Support
Serve as a trusted resource for employees across all companies for HR-related questions and concerns
Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance management, with professionalism and confidentiality
Support performance review processes and help managers with performance documentation Payroll & HR Systems Support
Support payroll processing in coordination with finance/accounting
Maintain and improve HR systems, files, and processes
Qualifications Required:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements, including multi-state considerations
Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee record management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across multiple teams
High level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage HR for multiple entities simultaneously Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
Experience supporting multiple companies or a multi-entity organization
Familiarity with HR information systems and payroll platforms About the Role This position supports a group of companies under common ownership spanning healthcare and related services.
The successful candidate will be the central HR resource ensuring consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience across all entities while adapting to the unique needs of each.
Pay:
$58,240.00 - $80,000.00 per year
