The Human Resources Generalist supports the full scope of HR responsibilities, including employee records management, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, and compliance. This role also plays a key part in promoting employee engagement and ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals, policies, and applicable laws.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and managing background screenings.
Facilitate hiring processes for hourly and salaried employees, including scheduling assessments when required.
Communicate company policies, benefits, and HR procedures to employees and candidates.
Administer employee benefits, workers' compensation, FMLA, STD, and other leave programs, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Track, monitor, and manage employee leave balances and related documentation.
Prepare and maintain HR reports, metrics, and documentation as needed.
Partner with managers and employees to address HR-related questions and provide guidance.
Support employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs, employee surveys, and communication efforts to foster a positive work culture.
Utilize HR systems (e.
g., Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, ADP) to track and analyze employee data.
HR Generalist Job Specifications:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
Solid knowledge of HR principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
Experience with leave management and benefits administration.
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ADP preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and confidentiality.
