Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to observe processes, understand employee needs, and ensure training reflects how work is performed. Develop and maintain training materials, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, checklists, and other training documentation. Establish consistent onboarding, qualification, and cross-training processes for operational roles, including expectations for demonstrating job competency. Administer and maintain the learning management system (LMS), including training assignments, course content, employee records, completion tracking, and reporting. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure training effectiveness, completion, employee competency, and overall program impact, using results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Ensure required training and documentation remain current and support company requirements. Partner with supervisors and subject matter experts to strengthen their ability to train, coach, and develop employees on the job. Creating and delivering learning and development opportunities for leadership. Evaluate training effectiveness and use employee feedback, operational performance, and leadership input to continuously improve training programs. Support employee development through cross-training, skill development, and advancement opportunities within Operations. Adapt training approaches and materials to effectively support both English- and Spanish-speaking employees across shifts. Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks What You Will Need High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including supervisory, lead, or training responsibilities. Strong understanding of production operations with experience developing or working with training materials, SOPs, work instructions, or other operational documentation. Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with employees, supervisors, and managers. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computer systems and software, including the ability to learn and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS). Fluent in English and Spanish with the ability to effectively communicate and deliver training in both languages. What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Business, Operations, Human Resources, or a related field. 5+ years of related experience in operations, training, learning and development, or manufacturing leadership. Experience with Alchemy or a similar Learning Management System (LMS). Physical Demands This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, including regular time spent in production and operational areas. The role requires frequent communication with employees, supervisors, and managers, as well as the ability to use a computer and other standard office equipment. Occasional lifting or carrying of training materials and supplies up to 25 pounds may be required. Flexibility in schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or extended hours, may be necessary to support training needs across shifts. Work Environment This position works in both office and manufacturing environments, with regular time spent on the production floor. The individual may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, machinery, and other conditions typical of a food manufacturing facility. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn while working in designated areas. The role requires frequent interaction with employees throughout the facility and adherence to all company safety, food safety, GMP, and facility requirements. The Operations Learning & Development Manager is responsible for developing and strengthening training programs across Operations. This hands-on, people-focused role works directly with employees, supervisors, and managers on the production floor to understand job functions, identify training needs, and build practical, role-specific training plans. This position also oversees training documentation and maintains the company's Learning Management System (Alchemy) to ensure training is consistent, effective, and properly documented.
