Position Summary The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training and development programs that build the skills, performance, and engagement of Peterman Brothers team members, with particular focus on team members in the field. This role partners with the Director of Field Training and Development to execute the organization's learning strategy, manage day-to-day training operations across Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, and ensure programs are effective, consistent, and aligned to business needs.
Essential Functions Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may supervise employees of the Field Training function, assisting with the performance management and hiring of employees within the L&D department
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supports organizational development (OD) strategies and processes Assesses OD needs of operating, business, and functional units Assists in the design, development, and implementation of programs, policies, and strategies tailored to meet OD needs and program goals Designs and executes key programmatic elements of the OD process Evaluates strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals Provides facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding OD methods and tools Assists with short and long-term planning for OD programs Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources Develops training and development programs and objectives Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts Plans, organizes, facilitates, and orders supplies for employee development and training events Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization Other duties as assigned Background The Learning & Development Manager will have a background that includes: Bachelor's degree in organizational development/organizational behavior. Related experience considered in lieu of education SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred 3+ years of experience working in organizational development for operations in a large organizational and/or functional business unit

Superior verbal and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Excellent presentation and facilitator skills Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods Ability to design and implement effective training and development Strong leadership skills Physical Qualifications The Learning & Development Manager will have physical qualifications that include: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time Some travel between locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky may be required
