SUMMARY The Internal Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs for employees across the organization. This role focuses on hands-on instruction, classroom training, onboarding support, and ongoing skills development to ensure employees are knowledgeable, compliant, and aligned with Palmer Gas & Oil's standards, safety requirements, and core values.
WORK HOURS
- Normal work schedule is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a half hour lunch break. (Hours may change due to training needs) Occasionally, during our busy season, additional hours may be required to meet our business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. •Responsible for efficient communication, harmonious interaction and support of co-workers and management team members. Delivers in-person and classroom-style training for new hires and existing employees Supports new employee onboarding by providing role-specific, safety, and company culture training. Conducts refresher training, remedial training, and skills development sessions as needed. Assists in the development and maintenance of training materials, manuals, job aids, and presentations. Works closely with department managers to identify training needs and skill gaps. Supports and participates in apprentice and mentor programs for field staff. Ensures training content aligns with regulatory, safety, and licensing requirements. Assists with
CETP/PEP
related training, testing, and preparation as needed. Evaluates training effectiveness and provides feedback and recommendations for improvement. Maintains accurate training attendance and completion records in coordination with the Training Administrator. Promotes a positive learning environment that supports employee growth and engagement. Always maintains and promotes company brand guidelines and core values (Friendly, Simple, Safe). Handles sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree, paired with 2-5 years of experience in training or teaching. Must be professional and be able to work with confidential information.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Microsoft Office suite: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly learn our computer software. Use Google Drive and search the employee intranet.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
