We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Technical Trainer to mentor the next generation of industry professionals by sharing your real-world knowledge of engine diagnostics, electrical systems, and drivetrain repair in a hands-on academic setting. Responsibilities Facilitate engaging classroom and shop-floor instruction to ensure students master complex diesel engine systems and repair techniques. Drive student success by providing expert demonstrations on modern diagnostic tools and heavy equipment maintenance protocols. Collaborate with academic leadership to refine curriculum, ensuring course content remains aligned with current industry advancements and technological shifts. Cultivate a professional learning environment that emphasizes critical thinking, innovative troubleshooting, and industry-standard safety practices. Provide individualized mentorship to students, helping them bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Maintain high standards of shop safety and equipment functionality to provide a secure and effective training experience. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of recent, hands-on professional experience in the diesel or heavy equipment industry. Demonstrated proficiency in electrical systems diagnostics, engine performance, and transmission repair. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse learners. Preferred Skills Current ASE certifications in medium/heavy truck or related fields. Prior experience in training, coaching, or mentorship roles.
