$20.96/hr About the Role Spherion Staffing is partnering with a premier local manufacturing client to hire a skilled Production Operator & Trainer . In this dynamic hybrid role, you will split your time between hands-on production operations and helping train, coach, and certify new team members. Key Responsibilities Production & Quality:
Perform routine and moderately complex tasks including assembly, inspection, modification, and repair of company products.
Training & Coaching:
Deliver both classroom and hands-on, floor-based training. Demonstrate proper work methods to new employees, provide coaching, and assist with performance assessments/certifications.
Material Development:
Support the development and updating of training packages to reflect new technology, processes, and methods.
Process Improvement:
Identify and resolve production or component issues, communicate solutions to supervisors, and offer advice on modification techniques.
Documentation & Systems:
Utilize manufacturing software, track process KPIs, and maintain accurate, detailed training and production records.
Qualifications & Skills Bilingual Required:
Ability to communicate effectively (spoken and written) in both English and Spanish .
Manufacturing Experience:
Solid understanding of manufacturing process flows, tools, quality standards, and KPIs.
Training Background:
Prior experience in training, direct coaching, or mentoring in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
Technical Aptitude:
Proficient with personal computers and quick to learn specialized manufacturing software applications.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; secondary education in a related technical field is a plus, but not required.
Certifications:
Must be willing to achieve and maintain site-specific quality certifications (provided via ongoing training).
Physical Requirements & Work Environment Environment:
Manufacturing floor with exposure to standard operational noise, dust, and machinery under safety guidelines.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged sitting/standing, manual dexterity for precise assembly work, extended visual focus on detailed documentation, and occasional heavy manual lifting. If you have a background in product assembly, quality inspection, and direct employee training, we want to talk to you! #IND000
