Youth Development Professional

Job Description

Overview:
The Youth Development Professional plans, implements, supervises members, and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area. This role directly supports our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. We have site openings in Caldwell. Key Roles & Responsibilities Prepare Youth for Success Foster a
Positive Environment:
Create a safe, engaging space that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Engagement:
Promote and stimulate active program participation among members.
Onboarding:
Register new members and participate in their club orientation process.
Mentorship:
Provide consistent guidance and positive role modeling to all members.
Program Development and Implementation Execution:
Effectively implement and administer programs, services, and activities for drop-in members and visitors.
Quality Control:
Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members, the quality of programs, and a clean, welcoming branch appearance at all times.
Reporting:
Prepare periodic activity and progress reports.
Supervision & Teamwork Collaboration:
Ensure a productive work environment by actively participating in weekly branch staff meetings.
Support:
Maintain active communication with club staff and supervisors to inform, provide details, and support club members, events, or overall organizational operations.
Special Events:
May participate in special programs and/or community events as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, & Requirements Education:
High School diploma or GED required. (Individuals currently pursuing a degree in education, non-profit management, hospitality management, or a related field are highly preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in childcare or after-school programs required. Experience in Event/Program Management is preferred.
Youth Development:
Strong knowledge of youth development principles with the ability to motivate youth and effectively manage behavior challenges.
Operations:
Ability to plan and implement quality youth programs, organize and supervise members in a safe environment, and professionally interact with the general public.
Certifications & Safety:
Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications, and a valid State Driver's License.
Age Requirement:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
