HELP BUILD WHAT'S NEXT IN PLASMA COLLECTION
What if your next opportunity wasn't just about training employees-but about helping build a new plasma collection center from the ground up? PlasmaSource is opening a new plasma donation center in Saratoga Springs, Utah, and we're looking for a Training Instructor to help develop employees, establish training standards, and shape a culture of quality from Day One. As an emerging business line within Vitalant, PlasmaSource combines the energy of a growing organization with the resources and experience of an established one. The Training Instructor will provide orientation and continuing education for collection staff, ensuring employees have the knowledge and skills to perform safely, effectively, and in compliance with SOPs and regulations. This role combines clinical expertise with coaching and mentorship, providing onsite and virtual training, evaluating competency, supporting retraining and process changes, and partnering with Leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Train and Develop the Team Provide orientation and ongoing education for new and tenured collection staff. Conduct classroom, hands-on, onsite, and virtual training. Maintain expertise in plasma collection processes and procedures and serve as a technical resource for staff. Coach employees to strengthen technical, procedural, and customer service skills. Evaluate Competency and Support Performance Assess employee performance and competency against established standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Identify individual training needs and partner with leadership to address performance concerns. Support Training and Process Changes Participate in the development and implementation of retraining plans, training methods, and training materials. Support training related to new equipment, collection processes, pilot programs, donor eligibility criteria, and other operational changes. Conduct retraining when performance gaps or process changes require additional education. Manage Training Programs and Records Schedule, prepare, register, conduct, and track onsite and virtual training activities.
• Assist with local training needs assessments and analysis.
• Help plan and evaluate training resources, supplies, training space, and distance-learning needs. Champion Quality, Safety, and Compliance Ensure training and collection activities comply with applicable regulations, internal SOPs, and established policies and procedures. Reinforce a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and accountability. Provide backup support for screening and phlebotomy procedures as needed while coaching and monitoring staff for compliance. WHAT YOU'LL BRING
We're looking for a knowledgeable and engaging training professional who combines plasma collection experience with strong communication, coaching, and instructional skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people, maintaining technical excellence, and helping employees succeed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Current CPR certification required. Two years of experience in blood banking or a plasma center required. Two years of experience performing apheresis phlebotomy required. One year of training experience required. Strong communication and customer service skills required.
