In this rewarding role, you will provide essential exercise, companionship, and care for dogs and other pets in their homes and outdoor environments. Your enthusiasm will help improve pets' well-being while building trusting relationships with pet owners. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where active engagement and animal love are at the forefront of every day. Duties Lead engaging walks and outdoor activities to promote pet exercise, health, and happiness Provide companionship and mental stimulation through play, cuddling, and social interaction Assist with pet care routines including feeding, administering medication, grooming, and basic training Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills Communicate effectively with pet owners about pet behavior, needs, and daily activities Support overnight in-home pet sitting or care when required, ensuring pets feel comfortable and secure Maintain a clean, safe environment during visits by managing pet waste and ensuring proper hygiene Experience Previous dog handling or animal care experience preferred, including dog training or veterinary technician roles Knowledge of animal behavior, pet grooming, and pet exercise techniques Experience with veterinary or veterinary assistant work is a plus Outdoor work experience demonstrating physical stamina and heavy lifting ability Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients and address their concerns Familiarity with kennel management or pet sitting services is advantageous Ability to perform animal restraint safely while demonstrating compassion and patience This role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to make a positive impact on pets' lives while enjoying an active, fulfilling career.
