Duties Perform comprehensive pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, and nail trimming tailored to each animal's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and groomers alike Provide dog training support and guidance to pet owners on basic handling and grooming routines Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming environment, including equipment sterilization and proper disposal of waste Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures, pet health considerations, and aftercare instructions Assist with veterinary-related tasks if needed, such as animal handling during veterinary visits or assisting veterinary technicians and assistants Lift heavy grooming equipment or supplies safely when necessary to ensure smooth workflow Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of various temperaments safely Knowledge of animal handling techniques and restraint methods for different species including dogs, cats, and equines Background in veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly desirable Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about grooming needs and animal care Familiarity with pet sitting responsibilities and providing excellent customer service in a mobile setting Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, bending, and moving equipment efficiently Embark on a rewarding career where your skills transform pets into happy, confident companions while providing unparalleled convenience for their owners.
