Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for pet styling come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully groomed dogs. In this energetic role, you'll provide exceptional grooming services that enhance the well-being and appearance of our canine clients. Your expertise in animal handling, pet care, and customer service will ensure every pet leaves feeling pampered and every pet owner feels confident in our care. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on pets and their families while honing your grooming skills. Please have a simple resume where you learned to groom and where you previously worked. Also have photos of grooms you have completed. This is a commission W2 job, based on your experience and grooming abilities. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques and ensure gentle, stress-free experiences for pets of all sizes and temperaments Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, coat styling, and other pet grooming tasks with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming needs, provide recommendations, and answer questions about pet care Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and equipment Assist with pet handling during grooming procedures, ensuring animal comfort and safety throughout the process Qualifications Groomed a 1 year or more understanding animal behavior and health Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet coat styling, nail trimming, and general pet grooming procedures Strong communication skills with co workers Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably Passion for animal welfare combined with excellent customer service skills ensures a positive experience for pets and owners alike.
