This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with a variety of pets, ensuring their well-being, safety, and happiness while their owners are away. As a Pet Sitter, you will bring enthusiasm, compassion, and attention to detail to every visit, creating positive experiences for both pets and their families. Your dedication will help foster trust and peace of mind for our clients, making a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners. Duties Provide attentive pet care including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining daily routines. Engage in pet exercise activities such as dog walking and outdoor play to promote health and happiness. Monitor animal behavior and ensure proper animal restraint to keep pets safe during visits. Perform overnight in-home care visits, ensuring pets are comfortable and secure throughout the night. Handle animal handling tasks with confidence, including training support for dogs or managing special needs pets. Communicate effectively with pet owners about pet status, behaviors, and any concerns observed during visits. Maintain cleanliness of pet areas and ensure all supplies are stocked and organized for efficient care. Experience Prior experience with pet sitting or animal care in a professional or volunteer capacity. Knowledge of dog training techniques and understanding of animal behavior patterns. Veterinary experience such as veterinary technician or assistant background is highly valued. Hands-on experience with veterinary procedures or animal restraint techniques. Outdoor work experience caring for animals in various environments, including farms or outdoor settings. Familiarity with handling different types of animals including dogs, cats, and horses (equine experience preferred). Strong client communication skills to build trust with pet owners and provide detailed updates on pet well-being.
