Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, and nail trimming to meet each pet's specific needs. Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process. Provide pet care during grooming by monitoring animal behavior and ensuring their well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, provide updates, and offer pet care advice. Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and work area after each session. Assist with additional animal handling tasks such as kennel cleaning, pet sitting, or light veterinary support if needed. Support team members with heavy lifting of equipment or pets when necessary to ensure safety and efficiency. Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred. Knowledge of dog training techniques, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet nail trimming, and coat styling techniques is essential. Experience working with various animals including dogs, cats, and horses enhances your versatility. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members are vital. Previous roles involving kennel management, pet sitting, or veterinary assistance demonstrate your dedication to animal care. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods ensures you can meet the demands of the role.
