Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and work areas to uphold health standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling tasks such as pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and managing animal behavior during grooming sessions Support veterinary staff or veterinary technicians when necessary by providing animal handling assistance or participating in basic animal care routines Lift heavy grooming equipment or large dogs safely to prevent injury and ensure efficient workflow Experience Prior experience in pet grooming is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of dog handling and animal care practices Knowledge of veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant background is a plus, especially relating to animal health and safety protocols Familiarity with pet coat styling techniques across various breeds and coat types Experience in dog training or behavioral management helps ensure smooth grooming sessions Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and providing exceptional customer service Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy animals or equipment Kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial for understanding animal comfort and behavior management Join us if you're passionate about making a positive difference in pets' lives through expert grooming!
