Responsibilities Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring proper exercise and mental stimulation tailored to each pet's needs Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining routines during owners' absence Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and animal handling skills to prevent injury or stress Assist with pet training and behavior management to promote good manners and socialization Communicate clearly with pet owners about their pets' activities, health status, and any concerns during visits Maintain detailed records of pet care activities, feeding schedules, and behavioral observations Support overnight in-home care by ensuring pets are comfortable, secure, and well-cared-for throughout the night Requirements Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles; veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior principles Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions with energy and enthusiasm Strong animal handling skills including pet exercise routines and animal restraint methods Excellent client communication skills to build trust and provide updates on pets' well-being Physical ability for heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., carrying supplies or assisting larger animals) Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary experience is advantageous but not required A genuine passion for animals combined with reliability, responsibility, and a positive attitude Embark on a fulfilling career where every day brings new furry friends to care for!
