Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring animals throughout their stay Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a safe, hygienic environment Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and demonstrate gentle dog handling skills Assist with pet boarding procedures, including check-in and check-out processes for pets and their owners Support veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed Perform outdoor work such as walking dogs, cleaning outdoor kennels, and ensuring secure fencing is intact Contribute to animal behavior assessments by observing pets' interactions and noting any concerns or changes Skills Prior experience with veterinary assistance or technician work enhances your ability to handle animals professionally Strong animal handling skills including dog training, pet grooming, and pet sitting experience Knowledge of animal behavior patterns and effective restraint techniques for various species Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning or moving supplies (team lifting preferred) Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns Experience with pet care facility sanitization practices to uphold health standards Outdoor work experience that demonstrates resilience in various weather conditions and environments Join us in creating a caring environment where animals thrive!
