Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dog Bather to join our professional pet care team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for animals, especially dogs, and have experience in grooming, handling, and caring for animals in a veterinary or pet grooming setting. As a Dog Bather, you will play a vital role in ensuring our canine clients look and feel their best while maintaining the highest standards of animal safety and comfort. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with a variety of dog breeds and contribute to the overall well-being of our furry clients. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain dogs during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Perform pet bathing, drying, and brushing, to meet client specifications. Conduct pet grooming tasks such as ear cleaning and teeth brushing with care. Assist with dog training activities by reinforcing positive behaviors during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations. Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to move or lift large or heavy dogs safely. Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming, veterinary technician work, veterinary assisting, or animal handling is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint procedures. Familiarity with pet coat styling, pet grooming tools, and techniques for various breeds. Experience with animal care practices including pet nail trimming, bathing, and general hygiene maintenance. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with pet owners and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for larger animals. Background in dog training or equine experience is a plus but not mandatory. A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
