Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while providing excellent customer service to pet owners. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being. Support the veterinary team with basic tasks such as administering medications and assisting in examinations. Participate in training programs for dog training and behavior management as required. Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning equipment. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care, veterinary assistance, or pet sitting is preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques, including animal restraint methods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with caring for animals. Experience in pet grooming or dog training is a plus but not required. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
