Job Description

Shift:
Monday-Friday 6:30am-1pm Open availability Overview Join our vibrant pet care team as a Dog Daycare Attendant and become a vital part of creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. In this energetic role, you'll engage with dogs through active play, socialization, and care, ensuring each furry guest receives the attention and supervision they deserve. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive behaviors while maintaining a clean and organized facility. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop animal handling skills, and contribute to the well-being of our canine companions. Responsibilities Supervise dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and proper socialization Monitor dog behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or aggression and intervening appropriately Assist with dog handling tasks such as grooming, feeding, and administering basic pet care routines Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment regularly Use animal restraint techniques safely during activities like grooming or health checks Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' behavior, needs, and any concerns Skills Experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician is highly desirable Background in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work that demonstrates animal handling proficiency Strong knowledge of animal behavior and pet care best practices Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and visitors Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet grooming, and sanitation procedures Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lift heavy objects safely during kennel cleaning or equipment setup
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
