This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals while developing valuable skills in pet handling, training, and grooming must have 3 years of grooming experience and be able to work with all breeds and coat types Duties Provide attentive pet care including feeding, administering medication, and monitoring health status Handle dogs with confidence, utilizing dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety for pets and staff Assist with pet grooming, bathing, and basic hygiene needs to keep animals clean and comfortable Support veterinary staff by observing animals during examinations and assisting with veterinary technician tasks Engage in pet sitting duties, offering companionship and exercise to maintain pets' physical and emotional health Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care routines, behavior observations, and special needs Skills Proven experience in dog handling and training techniques that promote positive behavior Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly valued Skilled in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during procedures or grooming Knowledge of pet grooming practices and pet sitting responsibilities Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or assisting with larger animals Animal care expertise including 3 years of pet grooming dogs and cats must have experience Join us in creating a caring environment where animals thrive!
