Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Boarding Kennel Assistant Manager and play a vital role in providing exceptional care and service for our guests. This position combines animal care expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pets and their owners. As a key member of our pet care facility, you'll participate in and oversee daily kennel operations, support pet handling activities, and motivate our team to deliver outstanding pet care experiences. Duties Supervise and participate in daily kennel operations, ensuring high standards of animal care, cleanliness, and safety are maintained at all times. Assist with tasks associated with pet boarding, daycare, bathing/nail trimming. Cleaning, feeding, medicating, and exercising guests. Oversee pet intake and discharge processes while ensuring accurate record-keeping of pet information and health status. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and status. Support outdoor work activities such as yard cleaning and exercise routines to keep pets active and happy. Required Experience Experience in animal handling roles with strong animal care skills and knowledge in animal body language and common health conditions. (Reptiles, Canines, Felines, Avian, Small Mammals) Ability to lift heavy objects safely (50lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with animal care. Experience managing a team and overseeing daily operations in a boarding kennel. Applicant should have experience managing groups of dogs and should have a deep understanding of canine communication. Outdoor work experience supports the physical demands of yard maintenance and outdoor activities. Experience providing excellent customer service to pet parents. Reliability is essential in this position. Our company is small and this is a crucial role in our facility. Attendance is essential to upholding our high standard of care. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being dependable, committed, and consistently shows up ready to work. We are looking for our second in command. The assistant manager is responsible for overseeing kennel operations and ensuring the facility is run smoothly in the owner's absence. This position has opportunity to grow, working side by side with the owner of the facility. Annual Raises Bonuses

Employee Discount Holiday Pay Yes, you may bring your dog to work :) (Pet should have required vaccinations and pass a temperament evaluation). 4 and 5 day work week. (Alternating) Pet CPR and first aid certification. Manager will be trained on the job and participate in Pack Pro pet boarding and daycare training.
Shifts and Requirements Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday:
SPLIT SHIFT
7am-12noon and 3-6pm. Saturday 7am-4pm Assistant manager's schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday. Manager will occasionally be responsible for Wednesday, Sunday, additional Saturday shifts and 7pm-8:30pm shifts on Saturday in event of the owner's absence. Our facility's peak times are during weekends and holidays. You will not be required to work every weekend or holiday, but they will be required based on the needs of the facility and guests. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
