Job Summary •

to be considered. •Must be able to work 20+ hours/week and during these holidays: Spring Break, Thanksgiving Week and Christmas Break. We are looking for candidates who are available weekdays mornings/early afternoons. Most shifts start at 7am, so if you are not available at that time, please do not apply. Evening/weekend shifts may also be scheduled, but daytime is a must. Open availability is preferred. Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Handler, where your passion for animals and energetic attitude will make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and proper care of dogs through attentive handling, training, and animal care practices. You will work in a lively environment that promotes teamwork, animal enrichment, and exceptional customer service. Your dedication will help create a positive experience for pets and their families while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to fostering a culture of learning within the animal care community.
Trainer Pathway:
We offer paid training while you learn. After completing the program, you'll transition into a structure that includes commission opportunities. You'll also have the opportunity to earn your trainer certification after 300 training hours and passing the exam. Most trainees complete the full pathway in about a year, depending on experience and dedication. Responsibilities Safely handle dogs during daily activities Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor walks to ensure animals are comfortable and secure Conduct, cleaning kennels, and maintaining sanitation protocols within the pet care facility Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or health issues and communicate findings to leads/management Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owners' questions Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, behavior observations, and cleaning schedules Requirements Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work is preferred but not required Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitized environment through proper facility sanitization procedures
