Part-Time | Must be available weekends & holidays Do you love dogs and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, hands-on team? Happy Tails Playcare is looking for a Part-Time Pack Leader to join our team! Our Pack Leaders are the people who spend their day playing with, supervising, caring for, and getting to know our daycare dogs . You'll help make sure every dog has a safe, fun, and positive experience while also helping keep our facility clean, organized, and running smoothly. This is an active job — you'll be on your feet, moving around, cleaning, supervising groups of dogs, and interacting with Pet Parents throughout the day. Pack Leaders also What You'll Do Supervise groups of dogs in a busy daycare environment Monitor dogs closely and recognize changes in body language, behavior, and energy levels Keep dogs safe by preventing and appropriately managing conflicts or unsafe play Learn the names, personalities, play styles, and individual needs of the dogs in our Pack Actively interact and play with dogs rather than simply watching them Provide fresh water and monitor dogs throughout the day Help with feeding, rest periods, kennel/crate care, and other dog-care duties as needed Safely move dogs between play areas, kennels, yards, and other areas of the facility Maintain a clean and sanitary daycare environment by regularly picking up waste and cleaning play areas Follow cleaning and safety procedures Help with opening and closing duties Assist with daycare check-in/check-out and communicate professionally with Pet Parents Answer basic questions about our daycare, boarding, and grooming services Communicate important information about dogs and their behavior to the rest of the team Work as part of a team to keep the day moving smoothly Follow Happy Tails Playcare policies and safety procedures Help create a fun, welcoming environment for both dogs and their people

What We're Looking For Must Have:

Must be 18 years or older Reliable transportation Genuine love and enthusiasm for dogs — this is a must! Reliable and dependable attendance Ability to work weekends and holidays Strong communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Comfortable working around dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities Ability to stay calm and focused in a loud, busy environment Willingness to clean — dog daycare is not all playing with puppies, Must be ok with Poop, Pee, Vomit, Hair, Slobber and blood. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 40 pounds, and stay active throughout a shift Previous experience in a dog daycare, kennel, boarding facility, veterinary clinic, grooming salon, animal shelter, rescue, or other animal-care environment is a plus, but not required . We are willing to train the right person. What matters most to us is that you are reliable, responsible, willing to learn, and genuinely care about dogs and your team. Proficient at speaking to Customers/Pet Parents with clear positive Communication.
