This role includes supervising dogs, monitoring their behavior and well-being, following feeding and care instructions, cleaning kennels and common areas, and taking appropriate action when health or safety concerns arise. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal care. Strong customer-service skills are also essential, as the Dog Handler will communicate professionally with pet owners, answer questions, provide updates, and help ensure a welcoming and positive experience for every customer and their pet. Responsibilities Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and well-being. Maintain a clean and organized environment by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment. Feed dogs according to their dietary needs and schedules. Monitor dog behavior for signs of stress or aggression, intervening as necessary to maintain a harmonious atmosphere. Assist with check-in and check-out processes for pet owners, providing excellent customer service. Requires front of house/front desk responsibilities (we will train you). Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, health concerns, and any incidents that occur during daycare hours. Experience Knowledge of dog handling techniques and behavior is essential; experience in dog training is a plus. Previous experience in pet sitting or working in a dog daycare or kennel environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or moving equipment. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care is essential.
