Small groups, real trails, leashed and structured. We're hiring our first handlers.

hikes start January 2027. We're hiring now so handlers are certified and trail-ready by day one. If you need income this month, this isn't it — better you know now. The job Drive small groups of leashed dogs in the company van to trailheads across Boulder, Broomfield and Jefferson County. Hike an hour or two. Bring them home. Departure times are set in advance — no on-call. Part-time to start, with a real path to more hours as the roster builds. What you need Real experience handling several dogs on leash at once Calm judgment when a hike goes sideways Colorado license, clean record (MVR check) Able to hike 3-6 miles year-round and control an 80 lb dog Pet First Aid & CPR, or willing to get certified before January — we pay for it Nice to have: military or first responder background, vet tech or shelter experience, Fear Free certification, local trail knowledge. What you get $25/hr, W-2 — an employee, not a contractor Company vehicle — no miles on your car Certifications covered A small operation where your judgment in the field actually matters, with a path to lead handler Veterans welcome Our owner is a Navy veteran. Veterans, reservists, Guard and military spouses are encouraged to apply — if you've done work where showing up mattered and you were responsible for the person next to you, that transfers here. How hiring works No desk interview. A short phone call, then a working trail hike — we go out with dogs and both of us find out if it fits. Bring your own dog if you'd like.
