Bay Paws Pet Resort is looking for a Doggy Daycare Lead to become the ultimate "go-to" person for our daycare department. This is a vital middle-management role meant for a serious professional who thrives on mentoring a team, keeping playgroups safe, and ensuring our resort remains the funnest place to work. This means management's primary job is to support you, providing the resources and industry education you need so you can empower your team of Pet Care Attendants. Key Responsibilities As our Daycare Lead, you are the leader of the pack, balancing hands-on dog care with administrative and team leadership: Support and Coach the
Team:
Guide and train Pet Care Attendants, giving honest feedback and helping them reach their own professional goals.
Evaluate and Custom-Fit Care:
Conduct temperament evaluations for new dogs. You will use your behavioral expertise to determine if a pet is best suited for large pack play, our specialized Enrichment Program, or a custom mix of both.
Manage Group Dynamics:
Monitor playgroups, manage complex behaviors, and make real-time decisions to ensure a safe, balanced, and fun environment.
Collaborate Across Departments:
Work closely with our Boarding, Front Desk, and Enrichment Leads to keep the resort running seamlessly as one unified team.
Enforce Cleanliness:
Keep our facility pristine by holding the team accountable to our high sanitization and safety standards. You speak fluent "dog" and have a deep understanding of canine body language and pack dynamics. You possess previous supervisory or team lead experience (or are a senior attendant ready to step up). You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and can maintain a calm, confident presence in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy thinking outside the box to solve daily operational challenges.
