Job Description

Overview This position is at two locations: 2112 n. Clybourn ave in Chicago and 2518 Green Bay Road in Evanston. The Rehabilitation Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation and recovery of animals under supervision of a CCRP. This position involves working closely with rehab theraists and other staff to ensure the well-being of animals during their recovery process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of animals safely and effectively. We are initially looking for availability from 12:30 - 6:30 pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Duties Assist therapists in administering rehabilitation therapies to animals, including exercises and treatments. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their animal's progress and care instructions. Perform animal handling tasks, ensuring the safety and comfort of the animals during treatment.. Participate in heavy lifting tasks associated with moving animals or equipment as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the rehabilitation area to promote a safe environment for both animals and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care, veterinary settings, or related fields is preferred. Strong skills in customer service to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus to assist with behavioral rehabilitation.. Experience in heavy lifting, as this role may involve moving larger animals or equipment. A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records of animal progress. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 24.0 per week
