Job Description

Pawz Away Pet Care is looking for a dependable, hardworking animal lover to join our year-round Core Team! If you're passionate about dogs, enjoy an active work environment, and want to be part of a team that provides exceptional care, we'd love to meet you. Schedule 20-28 hours per week Primary shifts are typically 2:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM Schedule includes a combination of weekday and rotating weekend shifts Weekend shifts are either: 6:30 AM
  • 1:00 PM , or 3:00 PM
  • 8:30 PM Team members rotate weekends, and when scheduled to work a weekend, they receive days off during the week.
Weekly schedules are created based on business needs and team rotation, so flexibility is required. This is a year-round position and is not seasonal. What You'll Do As a Boarding & Daycare Canine Care Specialist, you'll play an important role in ensuring every dog receives outstanding care, enrichment, and attention throughout their stay.
Responsibilities include:
Providing exceptional daily care for boarding and daycare dogs Safely supervising dog playgroups and enrichment activities Feeding meals and administering medications (training provided) Monitoring dogs for changes in behavior, health, and well-being Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized facility, including suites, play areas, and common spaces Assisting with client check-ins and check-outs as needed Working closely with your team to provide a safe, positive experience for every dog in our care Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Reliable, punctual, and dependable Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels Able to lift 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Strong communication and teamwork skills Weekend availability is required Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required—we provide comprehensive training.
