Horse Trainer, Exerciser and Riding Instructor Grain of Sand Academy Eagleville, TN Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Professional development assistance Qualifications Outdoor work experience Full Job Description Seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Exerciser and rider/trainee assistant/ Instructor who will follow the program set by the supervising trainer. Duties include safe handling, grooming and tacking, exercise rides or groundwork as assigned, cooling out, and reporting any lameness, behavioral change, injury, or concern immediately. I am looking for a reliable, safety-minded, experienced horse person to come to my private farm near Eagleville, Tennessee, on a part-time basis. The exercise rider will follow the program and specific exercises established by my professional trainer and will have an opportunity to learn appropriate training methods over time. The position may also include providing basic riding instruction and horse-safety guidance to children.. The person must be patient, kind, dependable, and highly attentive to safety around children and horses. Starting compensation depending on demonstrated riding ability, horse-handling experience, and ability to work appropriately with children. A two-hour minimum per visit applies. Flexibility related to the weather conditions is required. Pay can be reviewed after a 30- to 60-day trial period, with an increase as the person demonstrates reliable exercise riding, good judgment, and safe, effective assistance with children's lessons.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
