Overview Flexible hours needed: Join our dynamic team as a Dog Handler and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care and training. In this energetic role, you will work closely with dogs to ensure their well-being, safety, and training progress. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to creating a positive environment for both the animals and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in dog handling, training, and pet care while making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals. Duties Safely handling and grouping the dogs to socialize together to ensure their safety and comfort. Assist with teach dogs "pettiquette", implementing behavioral commands and socialization techniques to promote well-behaved pets. Making sure dogs have proper hygiene care to keep dogs healthy and happy. Cleaning poop and kennels to maintain a sanitary/odor free environment. Administering medications when needed. Handle animals with patience and professionalism while adhering to animal handling protocols and safety procedures. Assist with kennel management tasks such as cleaning enclosures, feeding schedules, and inventory management of supplies. Engage with pet owners by providing excellent customer service. • Qualifications Proven experience in dog training or handling is essential; veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly valued. Knowledge of animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Background in veterinary care or animal health services is helpful but not required. Prior kennel or animal shelter work provides familiarity with managing multiple animals efficiently. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. Strong attention to detail for record keeping related to animal health and behavior. Compassionate attitude combined with energetic enthusiasm for working with animals daily.
