Duties Supervise daily dog playgroups, ensuring safe interactions and positive socialization among dogs of various sizes and temperaments Implement basic training techniques to promote good behavior, obedience, and confidence in dogs Monitor dog behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and intervening appropriately Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and grooming stations in accordance with pet care facility standards Assist with bathing & grooming, feeding, administering medications if needed, and providing enrichment activities to keep dogs engaged Educate pet owners on dog behavior, training tips, and best practices for at-home care during drop-off or pick-up times Requirements Prior experience working with animals is essential; veterinary experience, veterinary technician background, or kennel experience is highly valued Demonstrated knowledge of dog handling, animal behavior, and animal restraint techniques Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels throughout the day Physical stamina for heavy lifting, cleaning duties, and active engagement with dogs during play sessions Pet grooming or pet sitting experience is a plus; familiarity with veterinary assistant tasks is beneficial Commitment to animal care standards including sanitization practices and facility safety protocols Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to enriching the lives of pets through compassionate care, engaging activities, and expert training.
