Requirements:

We are hiring a dog groomer with:•

ONE YEAR

(minimum)

OF VERIFIABLE EXPERIENCE

(please attach portfolio) Demonstrable experience in pet grooming, including coat styling, nail trimming, and bathing techniques. Knowledge of dog handling, restraint techniques, and best practices in animal care.

• CUSTOMER SERVICE

  Excellent communication skills to interact with owners regarding grooming needs and the animal's behavior.

• OWN TOOLS

  Scissors, clippers, grooming machines, grooming loops/leads, etc. (The shop provides the workstation, grooming table/cabinet, and bathing/drying supplies)

In this active role, you will provide high-quality grooming services that enhance each pet's well-being and appearance, while ensuring a positive experience for their owners. Your experience in animal handling and grooming techniques will help build trust and satisfaction among our clients, turning every visit into a pleasant experience for both pets and their families. Responsibilities Perform full grooming services—including brushing, haircuts, coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning—tailored to each dog's specific needs. Handle dogs with care and safety, using appropriate restraint techniques to ensure the well-being of both pets and staff during grooming procedures. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their styling preferences and offer professional advice on coat maintenance. Keep the workstation clean and organized, adhering to hygiene standards to maintain a healthy environment. Assist with animal handling tasks—such as restraint, cage cleaning, and pet care—when necessary to support general animal care operations. Identify signs of health issues or discomfort in animals and collaborate with veterinary staff or technicians if medical attention is required. Safely lift heavy equipment or pets as needed to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety standards.

We offer:

• Grooming station and support unit.
• Fun and relaxed work environment.
• Our groomers do NOT bathe the dogs. We have a specialized team and a designated bathing area for this task. W-2 employment. Bi-weekly pay. 50% commission on grooming services + tips.
• We do NOT offer health insurance.

Work schedule:

Start time: 7:30 a.m. You will be assigned at least 3 scheduled appointments per workday.

• Part-time (2 fixed days per week): Thursday and Friday, or Friday and Saturday.
